On Thursday, February 2, the Madrigal Choir arranged a benefit concert to support their trip to Rome this June.  The choir planned for several bands to play, including White Nail, Chaos Killed, and Go Home Rocketmen.  Unfortunately, though, Chaos Killed and Go Home Rocketmen could not attend the show due to prior commitments.

Instead, White Nail performed for about thirty minutes and played six songs, which included “Sweet Child O’Mine” by Guns and Roses, “Slither” by Velvet Revolver, and ended the show with a rocking performance of “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne.

After White Nail finished, Brooke High School Jessica Kuna took the stage.  She sang and played guitar for two songs she composed herself.  Once she finished, Mrs. Stone was welcomed to the stage by the audience.  She introduced a special guest who would play guitar and sing with her for a few songs.  Brett Caine then came out from behind the curtain.  Mrs. Stone and Brett sang a few songs together which included a few folk songs.  After their duet performance, Mrs. Stone left and Brett performed by himself.  The crowd was brought to their feet with much applause for Brett’s performance.  He sang a few songs by himself and then Mrs. Stone came back to perform “Take Me Home Country Roads” with him.

The show was a great success.  The choir sold about 150 tickets and raised approximately $750 to split between the members of the choir who are attending the trip toRome.  The crowd enjoyed the show and was very supportive of all the acts.
