What’s coming to Theaters: October 2011

            Do you like movies? Well you should check out these upcoming flicks that will be sure to entertain.  From comedy to horror there are movies for you.  Real Steel looks like a movie for those who enjoy sweet stories, with a little action thrown in.  Opening in October suits The Thing just right.   For Johnny Depp fans, he’s starring in Rum Diary, which should be a hilarious new addition to his vast collection of movies.  For those who loved Shrek, you are sure to adore the tale of his deadly pal, Puss in Boots.  For lovers of touching stories check out Like Crazy.

Title: Real Steel

Brief description: Charlie, former boxer/fighter, was put out of business when robots took the ring.  He barely makes it by, but he has until now.  He practically has nothing, but somehow he makes a comeback with the help of his son.  They put together a half-hazard robot, but it might just win it all.

Brief description: This is a frightening story about a scientific expedition to Antarctica.  There they find something with much possibility.  The possibility becomes a living nightmare that can take on the form of any living being.  Fear sets in among the research team, as friend can no longer be distinguished from foe.

Title: Like Crazy

Brief description: Two college students fall in love.  The woman, Anna, is a British exchange student who overstays her visit to America.  She is forced to leave and upon her return customs will not let her through.  Thus Jacob, the man, and Anna are forced into a long distance relationship.

Title: The Rum Diary

Brief description: In the 1950s Paul Kemp, a journalist, moves to a Caribbean island to escape the bustle of New York City.  He adopts a rum induced lifestyle, while writing for a San Juan newspaper.  Shortly, he becomes interested in an American woman and in turn her fiancée.  These interactions help him develop as a writer.

Title: Puss in Boots

Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Amy Sedaris, Salma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, Walt Dohrn

Brief description:  This tale of Puss is before he met the ogre we all know and love.  He was a hero who protected the innocent and fought for justice.  Overhearing a conversation at a bar he learns that Jack and Jill, dangerous outlaws, have found something that could destroy the world.  He sets out to end the dynamic duo with the help of long time friend Humpty Dumpty and a curious black cat by the name of Kitty Softpaws.  Will he save all life as we know it?
